Gaza Authorities Urge UN Intervention amid Repeated Israeli Violations of Ceasefire

Despite the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, Israeli forces have continued their attacks, according to official sources from the Gaza administration. Since the truce took effect on October 10, Israel has allegedly violated the agreement at least 80 times, resulting in the deaths of 97 Palestinians and injuries to more than 230 others.

In a statement issued by the Gaza Government Media Office, officials reported that 21 violations occurred in a single day on Sunday. These incidents included shootings targeting civilians, shelling, deliberate attacks, the creation of “fire belts,” and arbitrary arrests.

The statement further noted that Israeli forces used armored vehicles, tanks, remote-controlled weapons, fighter jets, and quadcopter drones in these assaults. The violations were recorded across all provinces of Gaza, indicating that Israel “is not abiding by the terms of the ceasefire” and continues to impose oppression on the Palestinian population.

The Gaza government held Israel fully responsible for the ongoing escalation and urged the United Nations and the guarantor states of the ceasefire to intervene immediately to halt the attacks and ensure the full implementation of the truce agreement.
