Hong Kong, 24 July 2025 — The highly anticipated Multicultural Workplace Job Fair, held at MacPherson Stadium in Mong Kok, has commenced successfully today, attracting a large number of job seekers, government officials, community leaders, and representatives from various industries. The event, which began this morning at 11:00 AM with an inaugural ceremony, continues to draw significant attention and participation from the public.
The two-day event, organized by the Labour Department, the DAB Ethnic Minorities Committee, and the Equal Opportunities Commission, aims to promote diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunities for ethnic minorities and the broader community. Over 50 organizations are participating, offering approximately 2,500 job opportunities across diverse sectors. Attendees can submit resumes and engage in on-the-spot interviews, and many hopefuls have already made promising connections.
The event has also featured insightful experience-sharing sessions, including discussions about halal food businesses. Several halal-certified restaurant owners shared their journeys, challenges, and successes, highlighting the importance of cultural inclusion in Hong Kong’s food industry.
Prominent figures at the event included Mr. Vincent, Chair of the DAB Ethnic Minorities Committee, who expressed gratitude to all participants and attendees. “Thank you, everyone, for joining us today. The Under Secretary of the Labour Department also attended and sincerely appreciated the community’s support and engagement.
