In Hong Kong, Dr. Islam is deeply involved in public service. He ran in the 2023 Patriot‑only District Council Election, demonstrating his commitment to Hong Kong’s civic priorities. Following his election campaign, he continues to serve the Hong Kong SAR Government as a Yau Tsim Mong South Area Committee Member and a Yau Tsim Mong Tsim Sha Tsui Central Care Team Member.
