Shooting at Gaza aid distribution center: 50 killed

About 50 people were killed in the Israeli indiscriminate shooting of hungry and destitute Palestinians who were bringing aid to the besieged Gaza Strip. At least 200 others were injured in the incident, the Gaza Health Ministry reported.

The Middle East Monitor quoted Chinese state media Xinhua as saying.

Israeli forces opened fire indiscriminately on hungry Palestinians who had gathered to receive aid in the Al-Mawasi area west of the southern Gaza city of Rafah early Sunday morning. The casualties were caused by this.

The Gaza Health Ministry says that the so-called aid centers in Gaza have become Israeli death traps. The Israeli forces are using new tactics in the name of distributing aid to carry out genocide.

US media outlet CBS says witnesses said the attack on people who had come to collect food was carried out from about 1,000 yards away. The attack site was near an aid distribution center run by an Israeli-backed organization.

Gaza resident Amr Abu Tayba said there was “fire from all directions – from boats, tanks and drones.”

He said he saw at least 10 bodies with bullet wounds on their bodies. He also saw the wounded, including many women.

Amr Abu Tayba said the scene was “horrific.” People were taking the dead and wounded to a makeshift field hospital in makeshift vehicles and handcarts.

However, the Israeli military said in a statement that it did not fire on any civilians at or near the scene. Initial investigations have found no evidence of any such attack. Source: CBS News
