At least 12 Ukrainian soldiers were killed and more than 60 wounded in a Russian missile attack on a Ukrainian army training center.
The Ukrainian Ground Forces said in a statement that the attack took place on Sunday.
The Russian media The Moscow Times and the Indian media The Hindustan Times reported this in their reports.
The statement said that the attack occurred at 12:50 p.m. and that no military assembly or large gathering was taking place there at the time. An investigative commission has been formed to investigate the cause of the mass casualties in the attack.
The training center is located about 1,000 kilometers behind the front line, where Russian intelligence and attack drones can easily carry out attacks.
Ukrainian forces are currently suffering from a manpower shortage and are being forced to avoid large gatherings due to Russian surveillance drones.
The Ground Forces statement further said, “If the investigation proves that the loss of life was due to the actions or negligence of any officer, strict action will be taken against the guilty.” Source: Moscow Times, Hindustan Times
