Ministry formation in the interim government

The newly appointed interim government of Bangladesh has distributed the responsibilities of various ministries and departments within 16 hours of taking oath.

The Cabinet Department issued a notification in this regard on Friday afternoon. According to that notification, the chief advisor of the interim government will be in charge of a total of 27 ministries including the Cabinet Department, Defense, Education, Food, Land Ministry. Muhammad Yunus.

Also the responsibilities of 13 ministries have been distributed among 13 more advisers.

Meanwhile, Md. Tauhid Hossain has received the responsibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2006 to 2009, he served as the Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh.

He joined the Bangladesh Foreign Service after completing his post graduation from the Department of History, Dhaka University.

After that he served as Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Kolkata from 2001 to 2005. Appointed High Commissioner of Bangladesh in South Africa in 2012.

M Sakhawat Hossain has got the responsibility of Home Ministry. This retired army officer served as Commissioner of Bangladesh Election Commission for five consecutive years from February 14, 2007 to February 14, 2012.
