Israeli Airstrike Hits Key Rail Bridge in Iran’s Kashan, Casualties Reported

A powerful airstrike by the Israeli Defense Forces has struck the historic city of Kashan in central Iran, targeting key infrastructure and escalating tensions in the region.

According to Iran’s Mehr News Agency, an Israeli missile directly hit the Yahya Abad railway bridge in Kashan, causing significant damage. Citing the deputy governor of Isfahan, the report confirmed that at least two people were killed in the attack.

The strike severely damaged the railway bridge, leading to a disruption of rail connectivity in the area and raising concerns over the impact on local transportation and logistics networks.

Notably, shortly before the attack, the Israeli military had issued a special warning to Iranian civilians, advising them to refrain from train travel until 9:00 p.m. local time for their safety. The strike on the key railway structure followed within hours of that advisory.

The incident comes amid heightened tensions across the Middle East, with recent alerts reported in several major Iranian cities, including Tehran. Analysts view the targeted strike on critical infrastructure as a significant escalation with potential broader implications for regional stability.

In response, Iranian authorities have warned of strong retaliatory measures, while rescue operations continue in the affected area.
