Although the Bengali New Year was officially observed on the 14th of April, this year’s festivities were held on the 21st of April due to busy schedules and venue constraints, allowing more community members to participate and enjoy the event.

They wore stunning Bengali traditional costumes that radiated beauty and cultural pride, further elevating the festive spirit.

The event was further enriched by performances from local Chinese community groups, the BAHK Bangla School, the Filipino community, and students from Yaumati Kaifong Association School—where children from over 25 different countries study—making the program truly diverse and inclusive. Approximately nine stalls showcased Bengali traditions, arts, crafts, and cultural displays, offering attendees an immersive experience of Bengali heritage. Additionally, guests visited the Ango Chinese Smart Kids Kindergarten, sponsored by the Tsim Sha Tsui Kaifong Welfare Association, fostering inter-community engagement and understanding.

This joint celebration underscored the spirit of multiculturalism in Hong Kong, emphasizing unity, harmony, and the joy of shared cultural experiences across diverse communities.
