China, Vietnam PMs to hold high-level talks

On June 25 (Tuesday), Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, who is attending the Summer Davos Forum, met with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in Tianjin.

At the meeting, Li Keqiang said that since President Xi Jinping’s visit to Vietnam in April, the comprehensive strategic cooperation between the two countries has been further expanded. China is willing to implement the grand blueprint formulated by the two countries’ top leaders.

He also said that the two sides should accelerate the integration of the two countries’ development strategies and implement the cooperation plan for the integration of the “Belt and Road” initiative and the “Two Corridors and One Circle” framework.

In response, Pham Minh Chinh said that by making use of the important consensus reached by the two countries’ top leaders, high-level talks with China should be strengthened; Vietnam is willing to enhance exchanges and cooperation in the economic, trade and humanitarian fields; strengthen multilateral cooperation; and work to safeguard common interests.
