28 Bangladeshis who were stranded in Iran due to the Iran-Israel war have reached Pakistan by road. This information was given in a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday (June 26) night.
The release said that the Pakistani government is providing them with the necessary assistance. They will soon reach Karachi and return home by air from there.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Iran said that assistance in the repatriation of Bangladeshis who want to return home will continue until the situation normalizes. The embassy in Tehran is in regular contact with Bangladeshis there.
It is worth noting that the embassy opened two hotlines soon after the war started. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that efforts are underway to bring back more Bangladeshis in the next phase. However, many now want to stay in Iran due to the ceasefire.
