YIFC Academy for Education and Enrichment successfully organized its annual Sports Day 2025 on Sunday, May 4th, at Perth Street Sports Ground. The community athletic event attracted over 200 participants spanning a wide age range, from young children to seniors over 65.
The event featured 67 sporting activities, culminating in four 4x100m relay races as the grand finale. Approximately 268 medals were awarded to participants to recognize their efforts and achievements.
The YIFC Academy oversaw the event’s organization and coordination, with support from a dedicated team of volunteers from the Indian community in Hong Kong. The tournament committee included Mr. Abdulaziz, the YIFC Academy president, Mr. Padhu, Engineer Seyed Ahmed, Mr. Shaik MMS, Mr. Kazhi Alaudeen, and 25 other volunteers.
Among the distinguished guests was Miss Surbhi Goyal, Consul at the Indian Consulate, who attended as the chief guest. Also present were Mr. Ramani and Mrs. Ramani, community elders and director of the Help the Blind Foundation in Chennai, an organization dedicated to aiding individuals with visual impairments through education and employment initiatives.
The event emphasized community spirit, camaraderie, and friendly competition, creating a lively outdoor atmosphere that all attendees appreciated.
YIFC Academy expressed gratitude to its sponsors, including Royal Forex, Sangeetha Indian Vegetarian Restaurant, Zafsma Trading Company, and Woodlands Indian Vegetarian Restaurant. The organization also acknowledged Mrs. Purviz Shroff’s support and encouragement.
