This time, the Houthis announced a blockade of Israeli airspace

Yemen’s Houthi rebels have announced a complete blockade or block of Israeli airspace. They have warned that they will repeatedly target the country’s airports.

The Houthi armed forces said that they will specifically target Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. In their statement, the Houthis called on all international airlines to consider the blockade effective from the time of the announcement and publication of the issues mentioned in this statement. They also called on them to cancel all their flights to Israeli airports to protect the safety of the aircraft and their customers.

The Houthis said that the beloved, free and independent Yemen continues to target Arab countries such as Lebanon and Syria, and we will not accept it. The Houthis confirm that they will not be afraid of confrontation and reject surrender and all humiliation.

Since March 15, the administration of US President Donald Trump has launched daily airstrikes in Yemen, claiming to have struck more than 1,000 targets in the Arab country.

The campaign aims to stop Yemeni forces from attacking Israeli and Israeli-linked ships in the Red Sea shipping lanes and from striking targets deep inside the occupied Palestinian territory.

The Houthis said they had launched four missile attacks on Israeli-occupied territory in the past 24 hours, prompting airstrike sirens to sound in several locations.

Yemeni armed forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sari confirmed in a statement that Sanaa had carried out a retaliatory strike targeting an Israeli military position south of Tel Aviv early Saturday.

Since the start of Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza, Yemeni forces have carried out numerous operations in support of the war-torn Gazan people. The attack targeted an Israeli ship or ships heading towards ports in Israeli-occupied territory.
