Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and President of China, responded to a letter from all faculty and students of China Agricultural University, congratulating them on the 120th anniversary of the university.
In his letter, Xi emphasized that in this new phase, all teachers and students should uphold the university’s remarkable heritage, continue efforts to strengthen agriculture and serve the country, and deepen educational and teaching reforms. He urged them to enhance agricultural science and technology innovation, apply research outcomes effectively, and cultivate professionals with a deep understanding and love for agriculture. Xi expressed his hope that their work will contribute to building a strong agricultural nation and advance China’s distinctive modernization.
Earlier, the university’s faculty and students had written to Xi Jinping, updating him on the university’s 120 years of development and achievements. They expressed their firm resolve to accelerate the development of a world-class university and to work tirelessly towards the great goal of national rejuvenation.
