An Iranian high-level delegation has arrived in Switzerland to take part in talks with the United States aimed at exploring a diplomatic solution to the ongoing conflict situation in the Middle East and reducing regional tensions. The upcoming meeting is set to be held at the Bürgenstock Resort, where diplomatic activity has intensified ahead of the discussions.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday night, the Swiss Foreign Ministry confirmed the arrival of the Iranian delegation and welcomed their participation. According to the ministry, the talks are being organized as a continuation of previous understandings between the United States and Iran.
Iran’s state news agency IRNA also reported that the delegation has already reached Switzerland and begun preparations for the scheduled discussions.
Ahead of the main talks, a preparatory meeting involving diplomats from several countries was held in Bürgenstock. According to Swiss broadcaster RTS, technical representatives from the United States and Iran took part, alongside delegates from Qatar and Pakistan, both of whom are acting as mediators in the process.
Analysts suggest that the meeting could represent a significant step toward restoring regional stability and strengthening prospects for a ceasefire, as diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions continue.
