US-Israel Strikes Trigger Massive Humanitarian Crisis in Iran

The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has reported that at least 3.2 million people in Iran have been forced to flee their homes due to ongoing joint military strikes by the United States and Israel. This figure is based on the agency’s preliminary assessments.

UNHCR further warned that if the conflict continues, the number of displaced people could rise significantly, deepening the already severe humanitarian crisis.

The attacks, which began on February 28, were intended to halt Iran’s nuclear and missile programs. In response, Iran has launched missile strikes targeting Israel and has also carried out attacks in several Arab countries where U.S. military bases or strategic interests of the United States and Israel are located. As a result, the conflict has now spread to 14 countries.
