US President Donald Trump wants something ‘better than a ceasefire’ between Iran and Israel. He said he wants ‘a real end’ to the conflict. At the same time, he said Iran cannot have nuclear weapons.
Trump made the remarks while speaking to reporters on Air Force One on Monday (June 16) on his way back to Washington from the G-7 summit in Canada.
He made the comments as the conflict between the two countries entered its fifth day.
Trump said, ‘A real end. Not a ceasefire. An end.’
Later, in a post on his social media account Social Truth, he said that he had not yet contacted Iran to discuss a ceasefire.
Donald Trump wrote that Iran should sign a deal.
He wrote, ‘If they want to talk, they know how to contact me. They should accept the deal on the negotiating table which will save many lives.’
