Russian Overnight Strikes Kill at Least Three in Ukraine’s Odesa and Zaporizhzhia Regions

Russia launched a series of overnight drone and missile attacks across Ukraine, killing at least three people and injuring several others, regional officials said Tuesday. The strikes caused significant damage to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure as the conflict entered yet another tense phase.

Oleh Kiper, governor of the Odesa region, confirmed that two people were killed and three others injured in a drone strike targeting the area. The assault reportedly hit facilities crucial to regional energy supplies, resulting in substantial infrastructure damage.

In the southeastern region of Zaporizhzhia, regional chief Ivan Fedorov reported that a 33-year-old man was killed in a drone attack on industrial facilities. Another individual was injured during the strike.

Both regions have been frequent targets of Russian attacks in recent months, as Moscow continues to prioritize Ukraine’s energy and industrial infrastructure. However, the ongoing conflict has made it increasingly difficult to independently verify claims made by either side.

The latest wave of strikes underscores the continued volatility of the Russia-Ukraine war, with both nations exchanging accusations over civilian harm and infrastructure destruction.
