Russia has strongly condemned the joint U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran, calling the strikes on Iranian territory and nuclear facilities “absolutely unacceptable.” The statement, issued by Moscow’s Foreign Ministry, was reported by The Wall Street Journal.
According to the Russian statement, Washington and Tel Aviv’s actions violate international law and pose a direct threat to regional stability.
“The United States and Israel will bear full responsibility for any negative consequences arising from this man-made crisis,” the ministry warned, adding that the situation risks further escalation and deterioration across the region.
Earlier on Saturday, Russia had denounced the initial wave of attacks as a “dangerous operation” that could push the entire Middle East toward catastrophic instability.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in the joint U.S.-Israel assault, according to Iranian media outlets Tasnim and Fars News Agency.
