China-Bangladesh Friendship Center -CBFC organized an online Remembrance Meeting & Dua Mahfil for Late M. A. Hannan Khan, Former Director, Commerce and Industry of CBFC 30th April 2021, Bangladesh time 4 pm onwards. By maintaining social distancing during the pandemic, an indoor face-to-face prayer mahfil was also held at the CBFC’s Dhaka office, followed by Iftar parallelly with the online program. The meeting was presided over by the senior vice-chair of CBFC, Mr. Guo Pei Lin Peter, and conducted by the Executive Director, Dr. Fakhrul Islam Babu. As many China-Bangladesh-related organizations attended and shared nostalgic memory of Mr. Hannan Khan, the remembrance meeting become the portrait of fans of Mr. Khan indeed. Minister of Bangladesh Embassy in Beijing Dr. Nazrul Islam, Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry-BCCCI Mr. Al Mamun Mridha, Convenor of the Association Bangladesh China Alumni-ABCA, Professor Dr. Shahabul Haque, President of Bangladesh China Youth Student Association-BCYSA, Mr. A A Muzahid (Ph.D. Scholar), Executive Director of PRAN-RFL Group Mr. Hashem, Vice-Chairpersons of CBFC Retired Captain Jabbar (BN) and Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, CBFCL Directors Dr. Munim, Mr. Golam Rabbani Raza, Mr. Shariful Islam, DDs Ms. Nipa Das, Mr. Mashiur Rahman, Mr. Shahidul Islam, AD Ms. Shabrina Liza, Ms. Tahrima Islam shared the memories of late Hannan Khan broadly. Despite them, the lovely son of Late Hannan Khan Mr. Assef Khan, and his Elder brother Engr. Mannan Khan was present, shared their feelings, and convey their thanks to CBFC for arranging such remembrance and prayers. Many other fellows of Late Hannan Khan, Mr. Shamshuddin Shume, and Mr. Shohel also shared their personal feelings and sympathy for the family members.
At the end of the meeting, a face-to-face dua mahfil, linked with the virtual meeting conducted by the local mufti in CBFCL’s Dhaka office curtesy by Director Social Welfare Mr. Shariful Islam for the welfare of the departed soul, our beloved brother M A Hannan Khan.
