Following the joint U.S. and Israeli military strikes on Iran, protests have spread across major American cities including Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, and New York.
In downtown Los Angeles, a crowd of hundreds gathered to denounce the attack. Demonstrators strongly criticized the U.S. government’s military operations against Iran, arguing that Washington’s actions contradict its stated concern for Iranian civilians and women’s rights.
“If the U.S. genuinely cared about the welfare of Iranian women and ordinary people, it would not be killing so many civilians—women and children—through airstrikes,” one protester said.
Protester Dickey told reporters:
“Who decided the United States should rule the world? Iran is a sovereign, independent nation. Who thinks America has the authority to control Iran? We can’t even take care of our own country—we lack healthcare, we lack housing—yet the government keeps giving money, weapons, and resources to Israel. I believe the U.S. government is trying to start World War III.”
In New York’s Times Square, protesters held banners reading “Stop the War on Iran”, demanding an immediate end to the military escalation. They argued that the U.S. has no right to determine how other nations should be governed.
“This is an unjustified aggression—an illegal war that must end now,” said protester Mike. “In recent years, Trump and Netanyahu have launched attacks in several countries. All of these are acts of aggression that should never have happened.”
