Israeli Strikes Hit Six Countries in 72 Hours, Leaving at Least 200 Dead

Within just 72 hours, Israel has carried out air and drone strikes in six countries, leaving at least 200 people dead, according to a report by Al Jazeera. Between Monday (September 8) and Wednesday (September 10), strikes targeted Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia, Qatar, and Yemen.

In Doha, Qatar’s capital, an Israeli strike hit a Hamas office on Tuesday while a ceasefire meeting was underway. At least six people were killed, including Humam al-Hayya—the son of senior Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya—his three bodyguards, and a Qatari security officer. Hamas’s top leadership escaped unscathed. With this strike, Qatar became the seventh country to come under Israeli attack since the beginning of 2025.

At the same time, Israel launched intense bombardments across the Gaza Strip. At least 67 people were killed on Monday and another 83 on Tuesday, with a total of 543 injured over the two days. Many of the dead were civilians who had gathered to receive humanitarian aid.

On Monday afternoon, Israeli air raids in Lebanon’s Bekaa and Hermel districts killed five people. Israel claimed the strikes targeted Hezbollah weapons depots and military facilities. However, despite a ceasefire declared in November 2024, Israel has continued to carry out regular attacks inside Lebanon.

In Syria, Israeli warplanes struck multiple military sites in Homs and Latakia provinces. The Syrian Foreign Ministry condemned the attacks as a blatant violation of the country’s sovereignty and a grave threat to regional security. Strikes have intensified since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government in December 2024.

In Tunisia, on Monday night, a suspected Israeli drone strike hit the Family Boat, the flagship of the Global Sumud Flotilla docked at Sidi Bou Said port. Although there were no casualties, the attack sparked panic among the pro-Gaza convoy.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Israeli airstrikes in Yemen’s capital Sanaa and Al-Jawf province killed at least 35 people and wounded 131 others. Yemen’s Health Ministry confirmed that journalists were among the dead.
