At least 56 more Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip in the ongoing brutal Israeli attack. Of these, at least 50 have been killed in a massive bombardment by Israeli forces since midnight in northern Gaza alone.
Another 30 were killed in separate attacks on the European and Nasser hospitals in southern Gaza. Al Jazeera reported that this new round of attacks began in northern Gaza a few hours after the attacks on the hospitals.
The report, citing health workers and doctors, said that 50 people were killed in northern Gaza alone in the attack that began at midnight.
Al Jazeera also reported that at least 30 people were killed in the bombing of two hospitals in southern Gaza—European and Nasser—that targeted them. Among the dead was a journalist who had come for treatment.
According to the latest figures from the Gaza Health Ministry, at least 52,908 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli aggression since October 2023. Another 119,721 have been injured.
After nearly 15 months of military operations, Israel agreed to a ceasefire in Gaza on January 19 of this year under pressure from the United States and international circles. After about two months of relative calm, Israel resumed airstrikes on Gaza in the third week of March due to disagreements with Hamas.
The Health Ministry said that 2,780 more Palestinians have been killed and about 7,700 injured in this new round of attacks that began on March 18. With these attacks, Israel has violated the ceasefire agreement signed in January of this year.
According to the United Nations, about 85 percent of the Palestinians in Gaza have been displaced as a result of the Israeli aggression. In addition, most of the infrastructure in the besieged valley has been completely destroyed or damaged.
