Hong Kong — A formal, multi-organization commemorative event marking the 76th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China was held tonight at Mong Kok Community Hall. The program was organized by The Asian Club Limited 亞會有限公司, China Bangladesh Friendship Center-CBFC 中孟友好中心, and the Hong Kong Association of Naturalized Chinese Limited -HKANCL 香港歸化華人協會. It showcased Hong Kong’s cultural diversity while highlighting a commitment to unity, education, and cross-cultural cooperation under the One China Policy, One Country, Two Systems, and Belt and Road initiatives.






A distinguished dais welcomed diplomats, district officials, and representatives from local NGOs and community groups. Notable attendees and their remarks included: Consul General of Bangladesh, Dr. Shah Mohammad Tanvir Monsur (could not attend for his important current issues arraises), Vice Consul General of the Philippines, Mr. George Mariano A. Soriano, Assistant District Officer, Yau Tsim Mong District, Ms. Wong Si Tsai Ingrid, District Councillors from Yau Tsim Mong: Ms. Aruna Gurung; Mr. Benny Yeung Tsz-hei; Mr. Poon King Wo Alex; Dr. Rizwan Ullah, District Councillor, Kowloon City District, Leaders from the India Club, The India Association Hong Kong, and NRNA Hong Kong, Representatives from NGOs and community organizations in health care, education, and social services.



The program opened with performances from Hong Kong’s diverse communities, including Adrita Roy Akkhor (Bangladesh), RAI Myra Dumie (Nepal), and SANGGAR SRIKANDI HONG KONG (Indonesia). Organizers indicated plans to expand the lineup of Cantonese and Filipino acts in future editions to reflect the city’s evolving multicultural fabric. The National Anthem of the PRC was performed, followed by remarks from CBFC leadership and district officials emphasizing unity, mutual respect, and cross-cultural cooperation. The Summer Cantonese Course Graduation ceremony recognized 32 graduates with certificates, underscoring the event’s emphasis on language education as a bridge across cultures.
















Dr. Fakhrul Islam Babu, Chair of the Joint Organizing Committee, delivered a formal vote of thanks, praising organizers, volunteers, and sponsors for their roles in bringing the program to life. Special appreciation was extended to District Councillor Aruna Gurung for her steadfast leadership and dedication to equal opportunity and community engagement in Yau Tsim Mong District. Her advocacy and inclusive approach were highlighted as key to strengthening social cohesion in the district and beyond. In closing remarks, Dr. Fakhrul Islam Babu reaffirmed the organizing committee’s commitment to ongoing cooperation among The Asian Club Limited, CBFC, and HKANCL to advance inclusive programs that promote education, language development, and intercultural outreach. He emphasized that such efforts contribute to a harmonious, inclusive, and prosperous Hong Kong, aligned with the Belt and Road Initiative, the One China Policy, and the One Country, Two Systems principles.
