H.E. Mr. Jalil Rahimi Jahanabadi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ms. Shama Obaed Islam, MP, Hon’ble State Minister for Foreign Affairs, on Tuesday and discussed issues of mutual interest.
Emphasising the importance of peace, stability and security in the Middle East, the State Minister expressed hope for the success of the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran taking place in Switzerland. She also conveyed Bangladesh’s expectation that the talks would contribute to lasting peace and stability in the region.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on Bangladesh-Iran bilateral relations as well as recent regional developments.
