Coordinated initiatives are essential for the development of aviation and tourism sectors

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Colonel Retired Farooq Khan has said that government-private joint initiatives are necessary for the development of the potential tourism and aviation sector of the country.

He said this in his speech as the chief guest of the first meeting of the new committee of the Association of Travel Agents of Bangladesh (ATAB) and iftar mahfil ceremony.

Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry Secretary Md Mokammel Hossain and Biman Bangladesh Airlines Managing Director and CEO Shafiul Azim were present at the exchange meeting held at Police Convention Hall in the capital on Tuesday.

It was presided over by the newly elected president of Atab, Abdus Salam Aref, and Afsia Jannat Saleh, secretary general of Atab, moderated.

The speakers at the event expressed their determination to work together with Atab for the development of the country’s tourism industry.

Atab President Abdus Salam Aref expressed his determination to develop a modern, contemporary and smart system for the development of the country’s aviation and tourism sectors by cooperating with the government and maintaining good relations with Atab members.
