The China Bangladesh Friendship Center- CBFC has successfully completed its “45th Years of Diplomatic Relationship Between China and Bangladesh” memorial blood donation campaign. The Vice Chairperson of the CBFC opened the campaign, Mr. Guo Pei Lin Peter, at the Maulana Akram Khan Auditorium, National Press Club, Dhaka, Bangladesh, at 10 am today and continued up to 4 pm with the support of the Quantum Foundation, Bangladesh.
The program was conducted by CBFC’s Director of Press, Publicity, and Publications and Lieutenant Governor of Rotary International Bangladesh, District 3281 Rtn. Abul Khair Chowdhury and Addressed by the CBFC’s Director Commerce and Industry, Mr. Hannan Khan, Director Admin Dr. SMF Munim, and Director Event Management Mr. Abdur Razzak Mamun, Presided over by Deputy Director Social Welfare Affairs and Program Chairman Mr. Shariful Islam. Many Bangladeshi and Chinese citizens were present in the program and donated blood. Program Coordinator Ms. Mau Chakraborty, Committee Member Deputy Director Mr. Mashuir Rahman Bhuiyan, Assistant Director Ms. Tahrima Islam, Assistant Director Ms. Sabrina Liza, and other members and volunteers of CBFC and Quantum Foundation, Bangladesh were verily involved in the campaign.
Usually, blood donation programs are held in different countries, almost closed due to Covid-19. To give a new impetus to this program and to motivate young donors, CBFC has organized the program to commemorate the “45th Years of Diplomatic Relationship Between China and Bangladesh”.
As spoken by the Executive Director and Secretary General of CBFC, Dr. Fakhrul Islam Babu, CBFC’s skilled volunteers carried out a day-long blood donation program for all blood donors and volunteer with safety health measures. Blood is being donated by about fifty young and old blood donors of CBFC and from the public, including Chinese Citizens.
All blood collected in the program will be donated to the Quantum Foundation for the whole purpose of humanity.
