Beijing’s Humanoid Robot Platform Bridges Gap Between Research and Manufacturing

Beijing has recently launched a new platform aimed at narrowing the gap between research and large-scale production of humanoid robots. The initiative is designed to connect laboratory innovations with industrial manufacturing, marking another step forward in China’s rapidly evolving robotics sector.

The pilot-scale testing platform, which began operations in January this year, is part of the Beijing Innovation Center of Humanoid Robotics. The center features a five-story facility equipped with advanced production lines to support the development and manufacturing of humanoid robots.

Its primary objective is to integrate cutting-edge research and development (R&D) with practical industrial applications. The facility has established standardized production processes and conducts multi-stage testing to prepare humanoid robots for large-scale manufacturing.

According to experts, the platform currently has the capacity to produce around 5,000 embedded intelligence products annually.

Inside the center’s pilot production workshop, technicians are actively assembling various components of the robots. Once the parts are fully assembled, they undergo a series of rigorous tests, including durability and high-temperature adaptability assessments, to ensure reliability and performance.

Engineers noted that each component is carefully tested for one to three hours to guarantee optimal operational efficiency before the robots move forward in the production process.
