ASEAN Media Partners Cooperation Week Kicks Off in Nanning

The 2025 ASEAN Media Partners Cooperation Week officially opened in Nanning, the capital of south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on Monday. The event was jointly organized by China Media Group (CMG) and the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

More than 200 government officials, media professionals, experts, and scholars from China and ASEAN member countries attended the opening ceremony. Under the theme “Openness, Culture, Shared Roots,” participants discussed new opportunities for media cooperation in building a China–ASEAN community with a shared future.

A highlight of the opening ceremony was the launch of a special reporting initiative titled “China Up Close: Guangxi Tour.” As part of this program, journalists from ASEAN nations will work jointly with CMG and local media outlets to conduct on-the-ground reporting and feature coverage across Guangxi.

Several new cooperation agreements between CMG and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region were also announced, marking a new step forward in regional media collaboration.
