Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei’s First Address: US Bases in the Middle East Warned, Call for National Unity

Last weekend, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei delivered his first speech as Iran’s Supreme Leader. In his address, he demanded the closure of all US military bases in the Middle East, warning that failure to comply would render them targets for attack.

Khamenei stated that any pressure on Iran would be resisted, and the Strait of Hormuz would remain effectively controlled. He emphasized the importance of coordination among the nation’s citizens, armed forces, and state institutions.

He further highlighted Iran’s desire for friendly relations with neighboring countries, but stressed that attacks targeting US installations would continue. Expressing gratitude to the country’s military personnel, Khamenei praised the bravery of soldiers in performing critical duties under pressure and during attacks.

In addition, he confirmed that Iran supports Islamic revolutionary groups in Yemen and Iraq. He also announced that financial assistance will be provided to those affected, and the injured will receive free medical treatment.
