Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced a temporary ceasefire in the war in Ukraine for three days. The Kremlin said in a telegram message that the ceasefire will start from May 8 and will last until May 11.

Meanwhile, there has been no response from Ukraine on this ceasefire yet.

Russia launched an attack on Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Thousands of soldiers and civilians have been killed on both sides since then.

Recently, US President Donald Trump, who came to power for a second term, began mediating to end the war. He hinted a few days ago that an agreement could be reached very soon. Although nothing is officially known about the agreement yet.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin announced a 30-hour ceasefire on April 19 to mark the Christian festival of Easter. Although both countries blamed each other for violating it.
