US President Donald Trump has reiterated his desire to take control of Greenland, the world’s largest island.
He reiterated this sentiment while addressing a joint session of the US Congress on Tuesday night local time.
Trump said, “Tonight, I have a message for the extraordinary people of Greenland: We strongly support your right to self-determination. And if you want it, we welcome you to the United States.”
At the time, he said, “The United States needs Greenland for national and international security.”
“I think we will get it. We will get it one way or another,” Trump said.
