Hu Haifeng, Vice Minister in charge of the daily work of the Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said at the press briefing that the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression was the longest, largest and most costly national liberation struggle of the Chinese people against foreign aggression in modern times. We must remember the arduous struggle of the Chinese people against the Japanese military invasion, cherish the memory of the heroes who sacrificed their lives in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, cherish the memory of all those who contributed to the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, and declare the firm position and determination of the Chinese people to follow the path of peaceful development and safeguard world peace.
Veteran soldiers, old comrades, veteran militiamen, exemplary representatives of local support, and representatives of relatives of martyrs of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression will participate in the military parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance and the World Anti-Fascist War held in Tiananmen Square.
The briefing said that China will invite leaders of various countries, former dignitaries, high-ranking officials, heads of various international organizations, foreign ambassadors to China, military attaches, representatives of international organizations in China, and international friends who have contributed to China’s War of Resistance or their living relatives to the commemoration ceremony.
