Tensions in the Strait of Hormuz: China Calls for Immediate Halt to Military Operations

At a regular press conference held on Thursday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning addressed questions regarding navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, stating that all parties are deeply concerned about how quickly the strait can return to a peaceful and stable स्थिति and resume normal maritime traffic.

She emphasized that the most urgent task at present is to bring ongoing military operations in the region to an immediate halt. Only through such measures, she noted, can peace and stability be restored in the Middle East and the Gulf region. The international community also expects such an outcome, and all parties should make concerted efforts toward this end. China, she added, stands ready to continue playing a constructive role in this regard.
