Russia has launched its biggest attack this year inside Ukraine. At least 50 people were killed in a missile attack on a military building in the central city of Poltava. Another 271 people were injured. It is reported that Russia carried out this attack on Tuesday (September 3) local time. The Express Tribune reported this information in a report on Wednesday.
Pictures shared on social media showed bodies of young men covered in dust and debris on the ground, with a large building collapsed behind them. Meanwhile, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in Telegram, “Russia must be responsible for this attack.”
He also said, ‘It is known that people are buried under the rubble. All measures are being taken to rescue alive.
“This is a stunning tragedy for all of Ukraine,” Ukrainian First Lady Olena Zelenska wrote in X.
Russia has been carrying out missile and drone attacks on Ukraine for two and a half years. And this attack is considered to be the biggest this year. However, Russia did not immediately comment on the attack. Both sides have stepped up their attacks over the past few weeks. It is believed that the war situation can take a more dire form.
