Russia has been accused of launching a drone strike on a United Nations aid convoy in the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson, according to international media reports published Thursday citing video footage and local sources.
Reports said a UN vehicle carrying humanitarian assistance for civilians came under attack while en route to deliver aid. A second strike was reportedly carried out targeting another vehicle during the ongoing relief distribution operation.
The United Nations and local authorities said the attacks disrupted humanitarian activities in the area, although no immediate details regarding casualties were released.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials said at least 15 civilians have been killed over the past two days amid large-scale Russian aerial attacks across the country.
In the capital Kyiv, a missile strike caused the collapse of a residential building, leaving at least 20 people missing, according to local authorities.
Rescue teams continue search operations to locate people trapped beneath the rubble.
Ukraine’s defense forces described the latest assault as one of the largest aerial attacks since the beginning of the war. Officials said hundreds of drones and missiles were launched over the past 48 hours targeting Kyiv and several other cities.
The attacks reportedly caused widespread damage to electricity networks, communication systems and other critical infrastructure facilities.
