Rohingya armed groups are preparing to fight against Myanmar’s Arakan Army. This information was given by the Brussels-based international research organization ‘International Crisis Group’ in a report published on Wednesday.
However, the Bangladesh government has called the Crisis Group’s report’s statement baseless.
In support of their report, the International Crisis Group again said that Rohingya armed groups have intensified recruitment activities from the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar. There are even cases of training fighters in camps near the border.
Expressing concern, the organization says that if the two sides engage in war, communal harmony in Myanmar will be further destroyed. As a result, the possibility of repatriation will be weak, and more Rohingya refugees may be forced to move to Bangladesh.
