Qatar Alleges Iran Targeting Entire Territory Amid Failed Attacks on Airport

Qatar has accused Iran of targeting not only military sites but the entire Qatari territory, a statement made by Majid Al Ansari, spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a press conference.

Al Ansari revealed that multiple attempts were made to attack Hamad International Airport, all of which were unsuccessful. Due to the closure of the airspace, nearly 8,000 transit passengers remain stranded in Qatar. He added that Qatar currently has no communication with Iranian authorities regarding these threats, and no prior warnings or notices were issued about potential missile attacks.

Addressing Qatar’s defensive capabilities, Al Ansari confirmed that the country’s interceptor missile stockpiles remain sufficient, and the nation is fully prepared to respond to any threat.

The spokesperson also raised the issue of airspace violations. He noted that Iranian warplanes destroyed last Monday entered Qatari airspace despite warnings and were advancing toward Doha. Qatar is still searching for the crews of these aircraft.

When asked about possible Mossad operations, Al Ansari said Qatar has no information on any such cells in the country, responding to claims made by U.S. journalist Tucker Carlson.

Al Ansari concluded by stressing that Qatar will not be intimidated by threats and warned that any such attacks will not go unanswered, asserting the nation’s full readiness to defend itself.
