Pakistan is going to join China’s space station training program as the first foreign country. Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPERCO) Director Shafat Ali gave this information on Friday. Khabar Dawn.
Shafat Ali said that Pakistan will send two astronauts to China for training based on two qualifications. He called it a milestone step.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, an agreement has been signed with China for the training of Pakistani astronauts. Among them, candidates selected on the basis of various qualifications including PhD holders, experienced pilots, physically fit people will participate in it.
Shafat Ali also said that China initially reserved astronaut training only for its citizens. But now this opportunity has been extended to Pakistan, which is the largest between the two countries.
