Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has claimed significant progress regarding a possible peace agreement between Iran and the United States. Acting as a mediator, he stated that the two sides have reached consensus on a draft agreement, and efforts are now underway to finalise it.
In a message posted on X, Shahbaz Sharif said Pakistan is actively continuing its mediation efforts, despite attempts by certain parties to obstruct the peace process. He added that a consolidated draft has been prepared, and discussions are now moving towards implementation.
He further noted that such progress in peace efforts has never been seen before, describing it as an important diplomatic breakthrough.
Meanwhile, international observers suggest that these remarks indicate a new diplomatic possibility amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
However, some parties, including Israel, are reportedly signalling that they may remain outside any potential agreement. Iran, on the other hand, has stated that any deal must be implemented across all fronts, adding that such conditions will be taken into consideration.
