Israel has decided to close all its diplomatic missions and embassies worldwide in the wake of the attacks on Iran. It has also urged Israeli citizens to be vigilant and not display Jewish or Israeli symbols.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry announced this in a statement on Friday (June 13).
The statement said that due to the current situation, Israel is temporarily closing its foreign missions and consular services will not be provided for the time being.
However, there was no information on how long the embassies will be closed.
Analysts believe that Tel Aviv has taken this step due to the fear of retaliatory attacks in the Middle East and internationally due to a major attack on Iran. In addition, the security of embassies and diplomats may also be one of the reasons for this.
