Iran has issued a strong warning over what it describes as a potential plan by adversaries to seize one of its strategic islands. According to Iranian officials, such an attempt could involve the support of a regional country. Reports by Al Jazeera suggest that Kharg Island—an اہم oil export hub—may be at the center of these concerns.
In response, Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf adopted a firm stance, warning that any hostile move against Iran would be met with retaliatory actions targeting critical infrastructure of the countries involved.
Ghalibaf stated that Iranian forces are closely monitoring potential threats and remain fully prepared to respond to any form of aggression.
Al Jazeera’s correspondent in Tehran reported that the Iranian public is increasingly concerned about the growing presence of U.S. troops and naval forces in the region, viewing the situation with heightened sensitivity.
Some analysts have speculated about the possible involvement of regional actors, including the United Arab Emirates, due to its close ties with the United States. However, no official confirmation has been provided regarding such claims.
The overall situation is expected to further heighten security concerns across the Middle East, as tensions continue to escalate.
