International Meeting in Kyiv Focuses on Ukraine’s Security and Economic Support

An international meeting was held in Kyiv with European and other allied countries to discuss ending the war with Russia and ensuring Ukraine’s future security and economic assistance. The talks were attended by national security advisers from the participating countries.

Following the meeting, Ukraine’s chief negotiator Oleksandr Bevz said that security guarantee plans had been coordinated with European partners. Under the proposed framework, Ukrainian forces would serve as the first line of defense, while a European-led force would be deployed in Ukraine, with the United States also providing support.

Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Taras Kachka stated that international partners have agreed on providing approximately 800 billion dollars in economic assistance to Ukraine over the next ten years.

Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelensky is preparing for a visit to Paris to hold further talks with partner countries aimed at ending the war. He said that all peace proposal documents—including those related to security guarantees—have been handed over to the national security advisers of 18 countries.

According to Zelensky, these proposals will now be discussed in various European capitals, as well as in Canada, Japan, and other partner countries. Ukraine’s General Staff and military representatives are scheduled to meet in Paris on Monday, followed by a meeting with European leaders on Tuesday, where the security guarantee documents are expected to be finalized. Separate talks with U.S. representatives will also take place.

Meanwhile, the war continues to take a toll. A Russian missile strike on Kharkiv last Friday killed two people, including a three-year-old child.
