A pilot was killed in a fighter jet crash in India. The accident occurred near the Jamnagar airbase in Gujarat on Wednesday night. NDTV reported.
Police said that one of the pilots managed to safely exit the plane before it crashed. However, the second pilot in the plane was found dead by villagers.
Witnesses said that they heard a loud explosion. After that, they saw thick smoke at the scene. The cause of the accident is not yet known. It is believed that an investigation committee will be formed to investigate the incident.
Earlier, on Monday evening, another small plane of a private training academy crashed in an open field in Gujarat, India. A female trainee pilot was injured in the incident.
