Elon Musk sharply criticized the European Union on December 6 after social media platform X was fined €12 million. Musk described the penalty as “entirely unreasonable” and controversially suggested that the EU itself should be abolished.
According to local media, the U.S. government also condemned the EU’s fine against X. Former President Donald Trump stated that any punitive measures by the EU against American science and technology initiatives would trigger additional tariffs on EU goods.
