On August 23, 2024, distribution of cooked food to 520 flood affected family members who took shelter in Muslim Block Government Primary School, Muslim Block Hafezia Madrasa and Orphanage and Upazila Administration School and College due to heavy rains and landslides in the area under responsibility of Marisya Battalion (27 BGB)done
Also Medical Officer of Marisya Battalion (27 BGB) Major Ghazi Md Hasan, AMC provided medical care and free medicine to 114 flood-affected families including 36 men, 33 women and 45 children at the Muslim Block Government Primary School Shelter. Content has been delivered.
Earlier on last August 22, 2024, Razia Khatun (30), the pregnant wife of Arif Hossain, was rescued by the BGB patrol led by Major Noman Al Farooq, the deputy commander of Marisya Battalion, and taken to Baghaichhari Health Complex. Later the pregnant woman gave birth to 01 son. Currently mother and child are healthy.
