Courtesy Meeting between the Hon’ble Minister and State Minister of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism and Representatives of Çelebi Aviation

Today at 12:30 PM, representatives of Çelebi Aviation, Turkiye, paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Afroza Khanam, MP, and the Hon’ble State Minister, M. Rashiduzzaman Millat, MP, at the conference room of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
Also present at the meeting were the Ambassador of Türkiye to Bangladesh, H.E. Mr. Ramis Şen, and the Secretary of the Ministry, Fahmida Akhter, NDC.
During the meeting, the representatives of Çelebi Aviation expressed their interest in participating in ground handling operations to enhance the quality of airport services in Bangladesh. In response, the Hon’ble Minister and State Minister assured that Çelebi Aviation would be given priority in the appointment process for ground handling companies.
Hon’ble Minister Afroza Khanam emphasized the importance of internationalizing Cox’s Bazar Airport to advance the country’s tourism sector and drew the company’s attention to potential collaboration in ground handling services at the airport.
At the meeting, Hon’ble State Minister M. Rashiduzzaman Millat invited the company to submit a concept paper aimed at improving passenger service standards.
The meeting also expressed optimism regarding future collaboration between Bangladesh and Türkiye under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives for the development of the country’s tourism sector.
