Philippine Defence Minister Gilberto Teodoro has made false and inflammatory remarks against China, which have undermined China’s legitimate interests and damaged China-Philippines bilateral relations.
Citing the need to safeguard China’s sovereignty, security, and development interests, China has decided to impose sanctions on Teodoro, as well as his wife and children, restricting their entry into mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao.
In addition, individuals and institutions in mainland China have been prohibited from engaging in any transactions, cooperation, or business activities with Teodoro and his family members.
