China Announces Resumption of China-India Flights by Late October

On October 9 (Thursday), Gao Qianxun, spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced at a regular press briefing in Beijing that direct flights between China and India will resume by the end of October.

The spokesperson stated that this decision follows the important consensus reached on August 31 during the meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Tianjin. China is keen to promote bilateral relations from a strategic and long-term perspective through joint efforts with India.

According to Gao, the resumption of flights will benefit the people of both countries and contribute to peace and prosperity in Asia and the world.
