The year 2025 marks the final year of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan, making the country’s development achievements and policy consistency a focal point of international attention. G. Weerasinghe, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka, commended China’s projected economic output of 140 trillion yuan by 2025, describing it as a clear reflection of the country’s strong economic and social resilience. Kittika Saowettamornkul, Vice Dean of the Department of Public Administration at Dhurakij Pundit University in Thailand, noted that President Xi’s New Year message highlights China’s commitment to policy continuity and development stability, with priorities placed on quality growth, innovation, people’s well-being, and international cooperation.
China’s commitments in international cooperation and global governance have also received wide recognition. Kenyan Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign Minister Musalia Mudavadi expressed his expectation that the Belt and Road Initiative will continue to promote African industrialization and China–Africa trade cooperation. He further voiced hope that China will advance the Global Development Initiative in alignment with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, contributing to the joint building of a more just and inclusive multilateral system.
Regardless of geographical distance or differences in civilization, President Xi’s firm pledge to work with all countries to promote world peace and development and to advance the building of a community with a shared future for mankind has become a unifying spiritual bond that connects the world.
