Blueprint for a Smart Future Unveiled at World AI Conference

Under the theme “Intelligent Era, Global Synergy,” the World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2025 has officially commenced in Shanghai, China. During the opening ceremony, the Global Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Governance Center was formally inaugurated.

For the first time, the conference is placing focused emphasis on three core areas: academic excellence, integration of software and hardware, and global governance.

Key highlights of the conference include the launch of “Smart World of China (2025)” case collection, the International AI Open Source Collaboration Initiative, the national early warning program “Machu”, and a proposal for the “Global AI Governance Action Plan.”

This year’s exhibition space exceeds 70,000 square meters for the first time, featuring participation from over 800 companies. The event showcases more than 3,000 cutting-edge exhibits and over a hundred newly released products.

More than 1,200 distinguished guests from across the globe are attending the event, including 12 laureates of the Turing Award and the Nobel Prize.

Throughout the conference, a series of forums and dialogues will be held. Delegates from over 30 countries and regions will engage in discussions and collaborate to formulate a comprehensive plan for the global development of artificial intelligence.

This year’s conference features five major segments: conference forums, exhibitions, competitions and awards, application experiences, and innovation incubation.
